An INFP is a personality type drawn from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. The MBTI was originally constructed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs. These two American women created the MBTI based on the theories proposed by Carl Jung. There are sixteen different types of personalities that exist according to the test.

There are people who believe that the MBTI is completely meaningless and does not indicate how happy you will be. However, I am of the opinion that by analysing your personality traits you will be able to interact with other humans on a higher level. Understanding how you operate allows for growth in the relationships we have.

My personality type is the INFP. In this article, I am going to list the five top traits that make an INFP.

1. The Mediator

As an INFP personality, we are often referred to as being mediators. We are able to use our great communication skills and our emotional intelligence to potentially diffuse situations of heightened tension.
